F12 Beats

It’s that time again! Time for the Beats. No not the beets that your Mom made you eat when you were little. Beats like how we tell everyone about the goodness that is Fedora, specifically Fedora 12!

The Beats are what the Docs Project used to create the Release Notes that get read thousands of times. While the Release Notes is generally a Docs Project task, the Beats are a Fedora-wide responsibility because we in the Docs Project might not know exactly what’s happening in all the projects out there.

So here’s your chance to give your project a shout out to the world. Simply go to the wiki and bring up https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Docs/Beats. Once there, scroll down until you find your subject and put your name in as a writer! The link on the left side of the table is your own personal beat for your project so tell us what’s new and exciting for Fedora 12.

Specifically we are looking for the following information:

  1. Big changes from F11 to F12. Things that developers want to know about.
  2. Big changes from F11 to F12. Things that users want to know about.
  3. Changes from F11 to F12 that could cause problems to users trying to upgrade their systems.

If you have any questions, feel free to drop by #fedora-docs on IRC or drop us a note on our list. Someone will be happy to assist you.

Thanks again!
