The dreaded GRUB>

A few days ago I did something dumb which required a complete reload of F10 on my home server. Ever since I’ve been having a strange problem. After I get F10 installed and install the updates and restore my data from my backup and reboot I’m greeted with the GRUB> prompt. Quaid properly diagnosed a possible problem of restoring all of the /etc from backup. It also restores the old fstab file which would be bad. I know that I got this a few times because I got the error that it could not find a certain UUID. Now I guess it can find all the UUIDs but doesn’t know quite what to do with them.

Anyone got any ideas about how to fix this problem and what is causing it? I’m getting tired of reloading and this is beginning to impact my weekend plans of getting icecast up and running.
